"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us."

- David Richo

Currently my client roster is full. You can write in to be waitlisted if your need is not urgent. You can also write in for access to a list of therapists I trust and maybe able to see you earlier.

common questions

Step 1

To assess whether we are a right fit for each other, I offer a fifteen-minute free initial consultation. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have for me or the process. If we are not the right fit, I am always happy to refer you to some amazing colleagues who might better serve your needs.
If you are a couple (of any sexual orientation) or a dyad- (Mother-Daughter, Siblings, Business Partners, etc.) it is preferable that both are present during this call.

Step 2

Once we agree to work together, you will be sent a standard contract created to safeguard our interests. The contract covers issues such as confidentiality, fees and payment, cancellation conditions and some other stuff. Any questions that you might have about the contract are discussed before you are expected to sign off on it.
If you are a minor (I don’t work with anyone under the age of 16), your parents will have to sign off on a consent form along with the contract.

Step 3

The next step is to book your first appointment on the scheduling app link that will be provided to you. Usually I would hold a pre-decided weekly slot for you when we meet. There are some who prefer to book a different day and time slot on a weekly basis because their schedule is not predictable. And that is okay too.

Step 4

Our first session!

We are ready to begin our work together. The first session is always 90 minutes long. If you have any reservations about your first session reading this might help.

Each session lasts 60 minutes.

All first sessions are 90 minutes long.

Usually sessions are scheduled weekly. Sessions can also be requested more or less frequently.

I pull from a variety of theories and techniques.

I pull from my training in diverse schools of thought- Humanistic, psychodynamic (Group Analysis, ISTDP), Experiential (EMDR), Neurobiological (Interpersonal Neuro-biology) and Cognitive (REBT).

The benefits and value you gain from therapy will not end at our last session – you can carry them with you for the rest of your life when you accomplish the goals and change you desire.  When you book your appointment, I know you are dedicated to transforming your life because you’re willing to invest in yourself.

Rates-

  • First Session- Individual (90 mins):INR 4500/-
  • Subsequent Sessions- (60 minutes):INR 3000/-
  • First Session- Couple/ Dyad (90 mins): INR 6000/-
  • Subsequent Sessions- Couple/Dyad (60 minutes): INR 5000/-
*Professional Fees are revised each year.

I offer four free sessions each quarter to those who may not have the resources to access a mental health professional.

I also offer a discount to students, COVID patients, therapists and those who are unemployed.

In case, you don’t fit in the above categories but are interested, write in to be wait-listed for a subsidized slot.

Therapy is usually a long term commitment. I have clients who have been working with me for years and also those who have a specific goal and stay in therapy or coaching for a short period- possibly a few months.

It is best to commit to six sessions and review with your therapist after that.

Therapy and coaching are completely safe and confidential processes. The therapy/coaching contract outlines all policies regarding confidentiality, including the exceptions and record and note-keeping.

  1. People who are generally high functioning but need some temporary support to see them through a difficult period in their life.
  2. People who have ongoing mental health struggles with depression or anxiety or are recovering from long-term trauma.
  3. People who want to use therapy and the space it provides to grow- start an upward spiral.
  4. Legacy work-For those in the winter of their lifetime or with terminal illness or who simply want to examine their lives, consolidate their experiences and work on their legacy.
  5. Couples and dyads (business partners, siblings, mother-daughters) who want to work on their relationship.
  6. Helping professionals (Healers, HSPs, Coaches, Therapists, Facilitators, Doctors, etc.) looking for a non-judgemental space to work through their struggles.

Trigger Warning- Reading a Laundry list of issues could be upsetting.

I work with all kinds of issues, everyone is different.

Some of the more common things that people often bring to my practice include:

Anxiety and depression, attachment (relational) trauma, codependency and love addiction, anger and impulse control, work-life balance, low self-esteem, stress, assertiveness and boundary work, transitions, mid-life dilemmas, giftedness and high IQ related challenges, creative impasses, meaninglessness, death anxiety and end of life concerns, terminal illness and cancer, abuse, bereavement, relationships, boredom, break-ups, bullying, burn-out, loneliness, coping with world issues, difficulties in relating to people, feelings of being different, imposter syndrome, feeling stuck, getting older, hopelessness, gender dysphoria, identity issues, fertility, parenting issues, sexless marriage, infidelity… and so on.

I do not work with anyone under the age of 16 years.

I do not work with issues of addiction and eating disorders.

I also don’t provide treatment for, psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, etc), or personality disorders.

The difference mainly lies in the depth and breadth of the work.

Coaching is mainly inquiry-based and doesn’t examine a client’s past. It is assumed that the client is highly functioning already. Also, the duration of coaching is usually shorter (6-12 sessions).

Psychotherapy is a longer commitment and involves a deep dive into a person’s attachment history and patterns of relating.

We can discuss what approach might be a better fit for you depending on your goals and needs.

No. I am not a medical doctor or a psychiatrist.

If medication is required I can refer you to a trusted, competent professional.

This is a crucial question and the reason why I offer a fifteen minute free initial consultation. It is an opportunity for both of us to assess if there is atleast an initial comfort and if I am the right person to help you meet your therapeutic goals.

Ofcourse, after starting therapy if I think you would be better served by another therapist I would be happy to refer you.

My practice is hundred percent online with clients from across the country and world.

I am physically based out of Mumbai, India
